This exciting new duo by Isaac Pyatt intends to invoke an image: oneself overlooking an icy landscape, as the sun rises over the horizon. The title refers to the suspension of time, as if it is moving on scales different than human perception. This scene is at the same time changed and unchanged by human interaction.

“You look out, and before you is a vast expanse of ice. It extends out to the horizon, and beyond. There is a beauty in the stillness, the serenity. And for a moment, time seems to stop. This experience is unlike any before, and yet you feel calm. As your eyes wander, your focus changes. The morning light shimmers and sparkles off the ice, refracting it across the landscape. The sun begins to shine, and so you begin your descent down to the ground.

Your feet move slowly, carefully, always watching your step. You lose your footing a time or two, but there’s no going back up now. As your path continues, the trail becomes steeper. You slip a few times, but the snow catches you, and you can stop to catch your breath. Then you fall. You gain momentum, sliding down, as the ground comes rushing towards you. You try to find ways to stop yourself, but you can’t. The light from the sun alternates between obscurity and clarity, helping or hindering your descent.

Before you know it, you’re at the bottom. the scene hasn’t changed – only your perspective. There’s more dirt on the ground; the light is a little dimmer. Some clouds rolled over the sky. But time remains still, and the scene is unchanged, as if it could last an eternity.”
